Some boats take a long time to build, and that is certainly true of this Lyle Hess 32. There are many reasons but they are for another time. With no customers in sight, I decided to build this boat for myself. I asked Mark Smaalders of Mark Smaalders Yacht Designs to help me come up with a layout and cabin design that was closer to my needs. Coastal cruising, occasional extra couple, family of four, enclosed head. So he stretched the cabin, moved the galley aft, found a place for the toilet, settees you can sleep on and v-berth forward. He thought a Beta 25hp would move her along nicely. It is still a simple boat. It is only 32' after all. S0 I am going forward and will update with pictures etc. Mark can be found at Mark Smaalders Yacht Designs
